Web3 Domain Cost Calculator
Compare two Web3 domain options over time, including acquisition, renewals, transaction budgets and annual services.
Compare two domain options over the same number of years. Enter current quotes in USD and keep first-year acquisition separate from later renewals.
How the ownership calculator works
For each option: total cost = acquisition + renewal × (years − 1) + initial transactions + annual services × years + later transaction budget. Annualized cost = total ÷ years. The comparison shows the difference between totals, not a recommendation about which name is more useful.
For a three-year example, $5 acquisition and $5 later annual renewal produce $15 before other costs. A $40 one-time purchase with zero entered renewal produces $40. Enter actual fees before using that difference in a decision.
What the ENS presets mean
The presets use current standard second-level .eth annual rates by length: $5 for five or more characters, $160 for four and $640 for three. They set the acquisition and renewal fields only. Check the official ENS App for normalized name length, availability and the complete transaction quote.
Premiums, resale prices and optional costs need separate entries. For a resale purchase, enter the acquisition quote and the expected later renewal separately. Subname and other provider fees follow their own rules. Selecting a preset does not query a name or reserve it.
Compare like with like
Use one currency and the same holding period. Do not count the first year twice: the acquisition field already includes the first-year name fee. Annual services are counted for every modeled year. Future transaction costs are a total budget, not an annual fee.
Quote changes, exchange rates and transaction demand can change the amount paid. Unstoppable’s Web3 no-renewal model does not eliminate unrelated services or transactions. Review the exact product before entering zero.
